What's happening at JAE?

JAE will be bigger and better than previous years but still retaining all the glorious things that make it the ultimate car club event.

In 2008 here are some of the JAE highlights of the event you can experience:

 

 
  • Full camping facilities for individuals, clubs and families.
  • Designated camping areas for specific car clubs and organisations.
  • Log Cabin accommodation for the disabled.(Please contact us for info).
  • Dedicated family camping area away from the busy areas of the event.
  • Official JAE activity and event tent for sign-ons and event merchandise.
  • The infamous JAE Show and Shine competitions with great trophies and prizes .
  • Huge trader areas covering cars to parts and accessories, new and used.
  • Complete food village with varying tastes available.
  • Fully staffed canteen with full English breakfasts and dinner available.
  • Outdoor Swimming Pool.
  • Disco hall with JAE DJ's catering for all musical tastes.
  • Full licensed bar throughout the event with open patio in a Japanese themed style.
  • Hot and Cold Japanese Sake available from the bar.
  • Saturday Night JAE Fireworks display
  • Trophies and prizes for the best turned out clubs, furthest travelled etc
  • Speed Boat trips from the beach including an inflatable Banana ride
  • Live Tuner and manufacturer interviews with the industries famous names

It’s a Knockout inter-club competition (IKO)

JAE 2008 will feature a full It’s a Knockout competition which is for car clubs to enter and battle it out to become the JAE champion club for each discipline. The winners of each competition will be presented with a club trophy which will be presented on Saturday night in the main hall at the official JAE trophy presentation and included on the JAE post event section of the web and promoted to the media for inclusion into magazines.

To register your club for any of the IKO competitions, please register HERE prior to the event. Registrations for each discipline is limited so book early to enter your club, places are first come first serve. Registration for all events is free. All competing teams will be drawn from a hat on the event weekend. You must be part of an attending club to be eligible to attend with your club registered and confirmed prior to your IKO application being accepted ( to ensure attending clubs has first refusal of the event activities ).

All activities will take place from Saturday morning throughout the day so if you register to enter, please ensure you/your team are available to enter the competitions throughout the whole day with the trophy presentation that evening on stage in the main hall.

The current IKO competitions are :

Tug Of War Battle - 7 persons per team max
Five-a-side football tournament - 5 persons per team max
Endurance competition - 2 persons per team
Personal obstical course - 2 persons per team
Sumo Wrestling Bouts - 1 person per team
Japanese Food and Drink competition - 2 persons per team
