QUOTE(Fuggles @ Mar 21 2010, 08:30 PM) *
As with any event will do listen to all your gripes and work as hard as we can to make sure we make imporvements. So in response to your questions:
  • Toilets/Shiowers: more toilet blokcs will be added and at both ends of the field with proper toilet and shower blocks replacing the portaloos.
  • Washing (cars): we are going to restrict where you can wash cars to prevent muddle-puddle syndrome. I've also spoken to a portbale jet wash company about having a stand and selling their products at JAE. That way you can fill up the resevoir and wash your car on stand
  • Food: more are being added and with a wider variety and somewhere selling coffe that is drinkable!
  • Maps will be uploaded on this site and you will be able to choose your plot when you book. If you see the front page (www.japcarclub.com) you will see it's totally changed and the booking mechanism has changed also so those nearer pay more and those further away pay less, giving people the choice and making it fairer.
I hope that's good news and will hope to say more at the Reps Meeting, soon

Sounds excellent John. Especially the coffee part! smile.gif

Are we able to book yet? I sent you a message on Facebook but I realise you're a very busy man!

Ed

Good news John, the map doesn't show the additional facilities though.

Could you outline the "extra" attractions you've got organised for this year before we drive all the way to Whicksteed for the pre-meet please?

We have booked just the 20X20 square, what if we get more people wanting to come , would we be able to book an another adjacent to it ?
Obviously we would know well before hand, it wouldn't be at the last minute, as soon as we get the rising sun out of the way this weekend I will be collecting numbers for JAE.

The disadvantage with the new way of booking is it requires people to be as accurate as possible before they book. However the chances that everyone wants more space - Now wouldn't that be nice! - is probably slim so there will always be the chance to adjust people's space as we get nearer. Overall the advantages of the new booking format outweigh the disadvantages now that we're established at this new venue
